Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Face Palette: Review

So luckily enough I was able to get my hands on the new Becca and Jaclyn Hill collab (shout out to Kpops who brought it to me). I feel like I knew I would love this palette because 1) I love highlighter and 2) the colours are amazing.

I must add I do love blush as well, I just don’t tend to buy a lot of it because I tend to stick to the same one, Melba from Mac, because it goes with every look. After seeing this palette however, I get the feeling that it will change..

Firstly lets tackle the packaging. It is so pretty and I see what everyone means when they say the mirror in this is very good quality. It’s so heavy, heavier than I expected it to be and you can tell they’ve really put the thought in which I appreciate.

The highlight as I anticipated were amazing, both shades Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop. I think I prefer Champagne Pop only because I think Prosecco Pop would look better on someone with a darker skin tone than me, but nonetheless I’ll still get the use out of it.

The blush shades are what I was really excited about. I didn’t realise that I would be so impressed by them to be honest. My favourite by far is Amaretto, the middle one, because it is so subtle but really adds something. At first I thought this would be too dark to be a blush shade but it really isn’t. I think it would be a versatile shade for all skin tones.

One thing I did notice straight away was how powdery it was. Even a light stroke with the brush and it was lifting up a lot of product, which I wasn’t too impressed with because in a palette I don’t want any contamination with the other shades.

Other than that I was so happy with this palette. I think it is worth the splurge and it definitely gets the thumbs up from me.

Let me know your thoughts on this!

See you in the next one!

Taylor xoxo
