This foundation is renowned for being full coverage and when I started investing in makeup it was up there with one of the first things I wanted to try. I’m of the opinion that if you’re going to spend money on makeup, you should always make sure you have a good base to put it on. This is why I don’t mind spending money on expensive foundation because a flawless base is so much easier to work on.
For forever I’ve been obsessed with a high coverage foundation with a matte finish. Recently I’ve been tempted to get a more glowy finish but I just haven’t got round to finding one yet. I have quite red discolouration around my cheeks and it’s just always been there so I just like to cover it completely. I could probably get away with a lighter coverage but I’ve just never tried it!
Now my opinion on this foundation is short and sweet: I love it. It is my go to foundation for a night out or a day out because I know it will stay put and is so high coverage. One flaw I have with this foundation is that it smells odd, almost chemically, which is never a good sign. I don’t know about the ingredients in this product but from a brand like Estee Lauder I didn’t expect such a strong smelling product.
Also, I noticed only once that when I used this with the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer, it started to separate and come off where I was applying concealer. I can’t blame it on the foundation, it could have been anything that was on my face. It’s only ever happened the once though.
Apart from that, this provides the perfect mask and I believe it could cover anything. I paid £31 for this from Boots and I can confidently say it is the best foundation I have ever tried. I think that for events and nights out I will stay faithful to this one.
Do you agree? See you in the next one!
