Kat Von D Pastel Goth Palette

I recently made my first order from Sephora, and I’m extremely proud of myself because I was incredibly well behaved. The only thing I desperately wanted was the Kat Von D Pastel Goth palette, and so here it is. With shipping to the UK, it cost me around £50. I don’t think that’s too bad considering I would have had to pay shipping and customs had I ordered elsewhere.

I know Debenhams in the UK stock Kat Von D products, but this was one of the limited edition products that I desperately wanted, and I wasn’t willing to risk not getting it! Had it been in stock, I would have got the Alchemist palette too, but I’m sure that will make its way to the UK soon enough.

I love the shade selection in here, even though I wouldn’t necessarily describe them as pastel. My favourite by far is Clementine, the peachy orange.

They blend impeccably so I have no complaints as far as the texture goes. Overall this gets a thumbs up from me. They are slightly chalky, but they are all mattes so I’m not mad about it.

Now on to some swatches! As you can see with a finger swatch these are pretty darn opaque, especially for mattes.

So what are your thoughts about this palette? Worth it or not? Does the name offend you or the fact they aren’t ‘pastels’ in the traditional sense? Let me know!
